Guest Readers
The kids have had a few special friends over this past week. Miss Julia and Miss Laura have helped put the kiddos to bed which of course means reading bedtime stories and watching Mickey Mouse! We're so lucky to have such great friends!
The Hugger
Last week Liam and I met up with Diana, Kira and Bronson at Tiny Town to play while the big kids were at school. Liam's been in a hugging mood and it sure showed with Kira! He would hug her, she would look confused/innocent, the hug would end and she would smirk at him. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Diana said we could make arranged marriages cool again! I agree! A few days later Liam saw her at a birthday party and readily shared more hugs.

Thanksgiving Day at School
Today we headed to school for a PowWow. To be honest I'm quite surprised this sort of thing is still happening. It wasn't a "real" powwow, just what the program was being called. The kids made indian costumes (they did look cute) and sang indian/pilgrim songs. The most shocking song they sang was "10 Little Indians." Maybe I'm just super sensitive but it seems a little inappropriate. After they performed we had a traditional Thanksgiving meal. I spent the entire time chasing Liam and trying to keep the twins content with cookies-they didn't want to eat anything else. By the time we left I was totally done and totally exhausted! Dad, thank goodness you're coming home tomorrow! I need my side kick back!
Liam didn't want to be left out of anything! |
Callie picked "Sunshine" as her Indian name. |
Anderson chose "Bear Paws." |
Not to be left out, he needed a single shot too! |
Melts my heart! |
Could they get any sweeter? |
3 yr old and 4 yr old classes-the 5 on the left are the 3 yr olds. |
Liam kept himself busy in the classroom but once we went to the big room for the performance...well that was another story. |

Last Supper
Sunday we had our last Sunday Dinner with the Godinez Family (Mahaffey's were there too but they're not leaving us!). The Godinez crew is moving (actually they did yesterday) to San Antonio. We wish them all the best and can't wait until we're all reunited!

One bounce house had balls so Liam was in heaven! |
That's right, we even got Granny jumping! |
So I was doing russians and I thought I looked totally awesome, but it turns out I'm not as flexible as I once was. But hey at least my toes are pointed! |
