School Shower and Papa's Pumpkin Patch

October 7-We had our Lewis and Clark School Shower thrown by my favorite kindergarten teachers! The shower was beautiful and the kids had a wonderful time meeting everyone! Some of the big things Anderson and Callie got were a double stroller and a wagon!

October 10-We went to Papa's Pumpkin Patch in Bismarck! We went through the corn maze, watched pumpkins get shot off, took advantage of the picture backdrops, ate snacks and picked out pumpkins!

A Really Long Post with Lots of Pictures and Videos

Sept. 24-Anderson saw the doctor and was put on reflux medicine. It has made a huge difference! He's still thrown up a few times but we've had a number of days with only "regular" baby spit up! He's also less fussy and seems happier eating! Yay!
Sept. 24-Our first family dinner out! We went to a local North Dakota place-Kroll's Diner! We had yummy milkshakes and chicken sandwiches! The kids did great and were the star attraction! Check out the girl in the booth behind us! She couldn't take her eyes off Callie! Luckily she didn't sneeze or cough-I was worried:)

Sept. 25-We took our first walk in Oak Park and have been back many times since!

Sept. 25-All dressed and ready to attend their 1st church service!

Sept. 27-Our wonderful neighbor brought over pumpkins she had painted for the kids and I put them out right away. When David got home from work he thought up this picture!

Sept. 28-We went in for my 6 week check up. Everything looked good so I was given the go ahead to resume normal life! Callie is being held by Dr. Fischbach and Anderson by Nurse Candy-who we got to know very well during all of our appointments!

Sept. 30-Anderson took his first bottle (of pumped breast milk!) without any trouble! He did it again on Saturday while I was at a baby shower! Now I'll have a little more freedom! We're giving Callie the chance to try this week!

Oct.3-Anderson and Callie attended their 1st birthday party for Addison who turned 4 and for twins, Ashlyn and Alexis who turned 2!

A Few Biggies...

We've had quite a few 1st time biggies since my last post. Here we go...

1. Anderson and Callie went on their first outing (September 15)! We took them to Target! We figured since all of our money is going there (for diapers, wipes..) the kiddos might as well see it! It was a successful trip and we didn't have to fight people off from touching the kids!
2. David went back to work on September 17. The kids and I did fine on our own:) But Daddy sure missed them while he was at work! Here they are hanging out with Dad in the morning on his last day home with us.

3. Callie and Anderson started taking their morning naps in their nursery! They are sharing a crib while napping! Callie is doing awesome! Anderson is having a little more trouble but we think that is due to him lying flat in the crib and not at an angle. He really likes sleeping upright-which may be due to reflux. We're taking him in today to see the doctor about it. (He's been throwing up a lot too.)

4. Both kids are enjoying playtime on the floor! We sing songs, do actions, and practice lifting our heads! Callie is a champ at holding her head up while lying on her stomach!

5. David had his 1st TDY, which is a short term assignment, since the kids have been born to Washington D.C. (September 22-24) The first night he was gone Sarabeth was here to help out. The second day and night the kids I were on our own and we did it! But we're so happy to have Dad home!

6. Belle turned 9 on September 22! Here they are waiting for her birthday dinner of ground beef and rice!

7. Callie is starting to wear newborn size clothing! It's still a little big but preemie is just too small (and short!)

1 Month

Wow, time sure does fly! I can hardly believe our little boy and girl are 1 month already! David and I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment so far! We have a few more days to cherish together before David heads back to work on Friday. The kiddos are doing amazing! Right now they eat every couple of hours during the day and then we feed them at 10pm, 2:30am and then at 7am! So we are actually getting a good amount of sleep! Yes, we know how lucky we are! Today we took 1 month pictures. I'll post the link to the website as soon as we get it so you can check out all the cute shots! It went really well! After our photo shoot we went on a walk. Our walks are now up to a mile and today we took Belle and Beau with for the first time! Enjoy the 1 month shots! All were taken today!

4 Weeks

Today Anderson and Callie are 4 weeks! And boy are they growing! Yesterday we went to base to meet with the Community Nurse and have them weighed. We knew they were both growing but we want confirmation! Here are their new weights and their proud, proud parents!

Labor Day

*On Wednesday (Sept.1) Anderson had his first blow out diaper! Since then he has graduated to size 1 diapers!
*Thursday (Sept. 2) was Anderson and Callie's first trip to base. We enrolled them in the base system and got them on our insurance.
*Anderson and Callie met Great Grandpa and Grandma Anderson!

*Anderson and Callie watched their first FSU game with Daddy on Saturday (Sept. 4)! FSU won!

*And the biggest first of all...On Saturday (Sept. 4) David and I left them for the first time ever! We headed off to Target for some much needed shopping while Callie and Anderson stayed at home with Grandma and Grandpa Boettger and Great Grandma and Grandpa Anderson! The experience was a success for all! I must admit I had a few tears as we headed out the door!
