A Night Camping

We haven't done too much camping since moving to Louisiana and trading our camper in for a boat but we decided it was time to get back out!  Friday night we went camping for the night at Black Cypress Bayou.  The best part-it's 10 minutes from home!  It's been years since we've had our tent out but it held up well.  We had a great time roasting hot-dogs, playing in the dirt (which there was plenty of), playing with glowsticks, flashlights and lanterns, going on walks, collecting rocks, jumping, finding the letters our names start with and just being outside.  The 5 of us in one tent was a little tough and in the middle of the night Liam and I had to head to the car because he thought it was time to play and wrestle. Maybe it's time to get a camper again;)

Liam's 1st Library Storytime

Liam went to his first library story-time on Thursday while the big kids were at school. We sang songs, listened to stories, used scarves, played bells, caught bubbles and did a duck craft. He only did half the project and truth be told he was more interested in walking around than following along but so were most of the other toddlers.  It was really awesome to have time with just Liam and I'm already looking forward to next week!

Miss Melissa's Visit

My best friend Melissa came in for a visit this weekend. She called Tuesday to ask if we were open and arrived on Saturday-awesome!!!  We hung out and had a great time!  Having friends visit is always so special and this visit happened to be over her birthday-even better!  We can't wait until your next visit!  The kids are already asking when you're coming back!

Football

Last night Dad and Anderson attended their 1st high school football game up in Benton, which is our high school. Anderson had an awesome time eating hot dogs and pizza and drinking blue stuff (powerade). He even got a megaphone from a cheerleader! They stayed almost until the end when the rain forced them home. Benton lost but Anderson said he had fun and can't wait to go again! Go Tigers! I know Dad had so much fun on your special date and loves you so much!

Bake Date

While Anderson and Dad were at the football game Callie and I had a bake date! She decided earlier in the week she wanted to make cupcakes! She did all the work! Measuring, pouring, mixing, lining the cupcake tins, frosting, clean-up, I tell you she is quite the little baker! Our purple cupcakes with pink frosting (hello food coloring! one of my biggest enemies!) turned out perfect!  After we enjoyed our hard work, so tasty, we finished the night watching my favorite (I think Callie loves it too) The Little Mermaid. Thanks for a lovely night Callie! I love you!

Boo'd

Last night the doorbell rang at 7:30ish and we were like who's here? So the kids and I waited inside while David answered the door. This is what he found!  So much fun! Who doesn't want a pumpkin full of treats?! Today we went to Target and the kids made their own Boo Baskets so we could Boo their friends. They had fun being sneaky!
