Disneyland

A while back we decided that we were going to take the kids to Disneyland.  We thought the middle of the week in February would be the least crowded and I think we were right!  We stayed at a Disney Hotel so each day we were allowed into the parks 1 hour early.  This was awesome because the lines for the most popular rides were super short-woohoo!  So we spent our days riding rides, meeting the princesses and our other favorite characters, eating snacks and just having a good time!  I'm happy to report the kids are now rollercoaster junkies!  I've made a photo book of our trip so I'm going to try and limit the pictures I post here but we all know how much I love pictures!

Free Museum Day

The first Tuesday of the month is free admission day to a number of museums in San Fransisco! So yesterday David took the afternoon off and we headed into town after lunch. Our first stop was the conservatory and their special exhibit was trains. Our second stop was a short walk away, the de Young Art Museum. We only looked at a few pieces of art. My favorite part was going up the tower and seeing the view! You know me I love a good view! From there we headed to the Koret Children's Quarter where we spent a good amount of time playing around.  We had dinner at ChaChaCha and it was delicious! Arroz con pollo, spicy shrimp, jerk chicken, quesadillas, black beans, fried plantains-so many yummy tapas! The unfortunate part of the day happened when we got home and through the night when poor Callie girl got sick. So today we're hanging low and disinfecting everthing! Liam's also starting pink eye drops! We don't have time to share illness so clean, clean, clean!

Berkeley and Wine Release

Saturday we went to check out Berkeley. Our first stop was Lawrence Hall of Science which is either on Cal campus or close to, we couldn't tell. The museum over all was not very impressive. However, they had an exhibit going on that was featuring wind turbines and that was awesome! The kids spent a good amount of time making and testing their own windmills. The best part was each kiddo got their own "lab" to work! I must also mention the view- it was beautiful! You can't beat a view of the bay and bridges!  After the museum we headed to downtown Berkeley and ate a late lunch outside at Jupiter, a brewery pizza joint. A good day, Berkeley has been checked off our list!  Sunday the winery we joined had a wine release party. So anyone who is a member can go to a free tasting and food pairing of the new wines set to be released. It was nice and neat to experience it since we might not ever get to do something like that again!  Our friends also joined the winery (woohoo and no we didn't bribe them!) so we made a little double date afternoon of it!
