Air Show

Saturday we spent the morning at the air show!  We went on a few different planes but don't ask me the names because I'm terrible at remembering!  I believe it was the C17 and the P something that we went into the cockpit!  I'm such a good Air Force wife.  After we left the air show we had the privilege of sitting on the deck and watching the Thunderbirds fly over head!

To Grandma and Grandpa's

The day before the Hartmanns left Grandma and Grandpa came to town to bring us some furniture that we are inheriting from my grandparents farm-a dresser for Callie, end tables, a kitchen table and 2 lamps that I've always loved!  They also brought my old bed for Callie.  When Grandma and Grandpa went home they took the kids with them so that we could work around the house!  And boy did we work!  David refinished the deck and did a million odd jobs around here and I painted all of the kids room the colors they chose!  Boy is it colorful upstairs!  I'll post pictures when the rooms are finished!  The kids had so much fun and we were so thankful to have the uninterrupted work time!

The Hartmanns

My cousin, Jackie, and her kiddos were here in Omaha for a week a few days after we moved in so we left a little bit of a mess at home and headed out to explore some of the city!  We went to the Children's Museum, The Omaha Zoo, The Fontenelle Forest and played here.  We had a great time and we loved everywhere we went!  Thanks for coming to visit we had so much fun with y'all!

We made it!

We traveled over 2,600 miles, had 18 nights sleeping in various places to include 5 hotels, 1 friends house, 1 great grandparents house, TLF (Temporary Lodging on base), an empty house and a house full of boxes to be unpacked...needless to say we are happy to be home!  After signing the final papers to say the house is ours we headed to DQ to celebrate our new place with ice cream treats!  These kids are so flexible and just roll with what's thrown their way!  Here's to a great time in Bellevue, Nebraska!

P.S. I can't wait to show you the after pictures of the kids rooms!  This is the first time they get their own rooms!  Just a few more finishing touches!
