We have Sitters! And Videos from March!

Anderson and Callie are sitters! I posted a few pictures below and a video of each of them sitting. I must say however that the videos of them sitting are not the best. They can each sit for quite a long time but they get distracted by the camera and I don't want to be too far from them in case they tumble so the videos are really close. Needless to say we are so proud of their lastest accomplishment! Anderson began sitting on March 20 and Callie on March 28. Yay!

Swimming Lessons

Yesterday Callie and Anderson attended their first swim lesson. David and I each took a kiddo and into the pool we headed! We sang songs and practiced splashing and holding our breath. The kids did great. It took Anderson a little while to get into it but by the end he was having a great time. Callie was chill the entire time. We stayed a little bit after class and the kids practiced swimming/floating on their bellies and grabbing pool toys. We even had a couple of friends in class! We have 4 more classes to go!

Other big happenings:

Anderson can sit on his own! We've been practicing and today he did it! He can sit by himself for about 30 seconds. He was so excited about his accomplishment that he had to show off for his Granny and PopPop on our video chat today!

Seven Months

Yesterday Anderson and Callie turned 7 months and Beau turned 4 years old! We celebrated Beau's birthday with a special dinner for him and Belle-venison and rice! Grandma and Grandpa were here this weekend to join our fun! And if you look at the pictures closely you'll see that Callie has been working very hard on growing her hair!

First Bath in the Big Tub!!!

On Sunday (3/6) the kids had their first go round in the big bath tub! So much fun! They had a great time splashing around. From the looks of it Anderson may be our little swimmer! He was kicking the whole time! Callie had a good time too but she wasn't as into as Anderson.

This bubble blowing/spitting/tongue thing is high on Callie's list of fun things to do!

6 1/2 Month Check Up and 6 Month Pictures

Today we had the kids 6 month well visit (Yes, they're really 6 1/2 months!). Everything is looking great! Here are their stats: Anderson weighs 16lbs 4oz and is in the 25th percentile. He is 27 inches long putting him in the 75th percentile and his head is measuring 17 1/2. Callie weighs 12lbs 4oz and is in the less than 5th percentile. She is 25 inches long putting her in the 25th percentile and her head is measuring 16 1/2.

34 Degrees

Yesterday when David got home from work early (5:00) it was 34 degrees out! So we bundled up the kids and ran outside! It felt great to get outside! What a difference it is running outside with a stroller verses running inside on the track or treadmill! Anyway, we got 2.1 miles in for our first official day of 1/2 marathon training!

So is Callie, they wore their Adidas outfits for the big event!

David with the kids bundled up inside their strollers! We love our strollers from Ellen even more now-the front wheel can pivot for walks or stay stationary for runs!

As you can see we still have lots of snow.
