A Quiet House...

Many times when the house is too quiet something mischievous is going on, not the other day...

Bike Trailers

We've been talking about getting bike trailers for awhile and Tuesday David came home from work with them!!! Yay!  We immediately hooked them up and went out on our first ride!  We all had so much fun!  Liam was on his own the first day and Anderson was on his own the second day, so as you can guess the next time we get out Callie will be on her own!  So much fun!

Driveway Fire

Tonight we had a driveway fire and cooked hot dogs for dinner and s'mores for dessert! Anderson really loved his toasted marshmallows! He had 5 or 6 and 1 1/2 s'mores! If we only had our camper and could do this in the woods!

Liam's Tear Duct Surgery

This morning Liam had tear duct surgery.  Our babysitter stayed over last night after her weekly date with Liam so she could be here and ready to go at 5:30am!  She is so good to us!  Liam, David and I headed out the door then and were to the hospital by 6:10.  We got checked in, had his vitals taken and hung out in the room trying to keep Liam happy since he wasn't allowed to eat breakfast.  The doctor came in, talked to us and answered our questions.  The best news he gave us was that they would not be putting Liam under-an answer to my prayers!  (He had told me they would be if he was over 25 pounds but they never weighed him, fine by me!)  Anyways, David and I were sent out of the room.  The whole surgery took 5, maybe 10 minutes.  When we got back he was wrapped like a burrito and crying a little bit.  He settled down as soon as we gave him a bottle and it's been smooth sailing since then.  After all was said and done we said it was more like a procedure and that the word surgery was too big and scary for what actually happened but hey, we're not the ones naming these things!  The first picture is from yesterday, just to show how gunky his eye gets.  The rest are from today.

Snakes

As many of you know I have a big fear/hate of snakes.  I'm working hard to get over this, mainly so my kids don't know and tease me about it-bringing snakes to me...Anyways, Monday I looked at 2 snakes at Sci-Port and correctly identified the diamondback.  I thought that was great and figured I was done with snakes for awhile.  Little did I know that I would be seeing one on Thursday at Kira's birthday party!  Thankfully the kids haven't realized or inherited my fear and they had no problem touching it!  Callie was the first to go out of the whole group!  Anderson was 2nd and the only reason I got as close as I did (please admire the picture with half my body) is because Anderson was getting a little too friendly with the snake and was rubbing up and down and about to grab him, when they were supposed to be petting one way with two fingers!  They also got to see an owl and pet a turtle.  It was a great party!

Sci-Port

Today David had the day off so we decided to finally investigate Sci-Port, our local science center. The kids had a good time. Their favorite part was the chair that rode up when you held the buttons down. They rode it over and over, together and on their own. If other kids hadn't come up I think they would have ridden all day! It was like their own little power tower! Another favorite was spinning around on a stool with a bike wheel! Look out, I think we'll be hitting the amusement parks soon!

Trying the Blogger App

I finally decided to give the blogger app a try! If all goes well I'll be able to do quick posts using pics from my phone. David sent me these pictures last Saturday when he spent the day with the kids so I could go to a church function and a self-defense class-both were great! We repeated last Saturday as he was home with the kids again today while I took a CPR class (wanted to review my skills and be prepared if anything were to happen to the kiddos) and ran errands. I also had to include a photo of my man in action!

2 1/2 Year Old Twins!!!

Valentine's Day

This year for Valentine's Day we tried an idea I saw on Pintrest (I think it's the 2nd or 3rd idea I've ever done off it, now to do all the other pins I have!) Anyways, we wrote out 5 hearts for each kiddo with something we love about them written on each, I'm pretty sure we could have filled their entire doors and then some!!! Happy Valentine's Day!
