Happy Halloween!

Last night Callie went to bed with a fever but thankfully when she woke up this morning it was gone, which meant we were able to meet our playgroup downtown for trick or treating. It was quite chilly (40 degrees) so we bundled up in our dragon costumes that Granny sent us and headed out!  We had a ton of fun!  Sadly, when Anderson got up from an extra long afternoon nap he had a temp (103.3!) so we weren't able to put on our Wizard of Oz costumes and trick or treat around the neighborhood.  Instead we chilled on the couch watching Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin while sipping on Pedialyte and handing out candy.

Lots of Fall Fun and Pictures

After afternoon naps today we had some fall fun! First, we went outside to play in the leaves! Anderson loved it! Callie wasn't so sure and halfway through she decided it was more fun to crawl (even though she can walk, she's proven it around the house all weekend) on the deck. We then went inside and put on our Halloween costumes because Dad will be flying tomorrow-sad! We won't get to go around to all our neighbors and friends as the complete Wizard of Oz so I had to try and get a picture today. Finally, we painted pumpkins! I thought that painting pumpkins might be a fun alternative since the kids aren't big enough to carve. They seemed to have enjoyed themselves!  And the pumpkins look amazing!  Great job kids!

Anderson's 1st Professional Haircut!

Today while in Bismarck Anderson got his first professional haircut and he did awesome!  Now Mom on the other hand shed a few tears!  He sat so nicely in Dad's lap and let the woman do her work-no fits, no crying, just pure awesomeness!  If you look in the first picture you can see his shaggy over-the-ear hair, he wasn't so excited to have his after picture taken but we did the best we could.

North Dakota Capital

Today we made our final trip to Bismarck! We ate at the Olive Garden, stopped by the capital building, bought some winter boots, and got Anderson his first professional haircut (see other post).

Grandpa and Grandma's Last Trip to Minot

Grandpa and Grandma came out and spent the long weekend with us. It was their last trip to Minot before our big move. We had a great time. Friday Anderson and Grandpa had some guy time on a walk and playing at the park, while Callie went fabric shopping with Mom and Grandma for her Christmas scrap fabric tutu (to make it's debut in December).  Saturday we hung out and Mom and Grandma did some shopping.  We also went on a walk to the Scandinavian Heritage Park and out for pizza (what an ordeal that was thanks to mom!)  Grandma and Grandpa left Sunday morning and we spent the rest of the day celebrating Dad's birthday.
