Carousel at the Boardwalk

Circus Star of the Week

The theme of Anderson's classroom is circus and this week he was Circus Star of the Week! With the help of his teachers he put a few of his favorites up on the class board. It also meant he got to do everything first in class! Another big moment this week-he moved to the big boy shoe section! No more Velcro here, ties from now on. (Insert tear from mom because her baby boy looks so big and handsome!)

PreK 4 Firldtrip

Last Thursday Grandpa and I chaperoned Anderson and Callie's class on their field trip to the pumpkin patch. We had a good time but the pumpkin part was a bit of a bust. We took a hayride, which as Andersin pointed out had no hay on it and was pulled behind a Yukon to the field. We weren't allowed off to pick our pumpkin but instead the teachers were given a bag of pumpkins at the end of the day. The pumpkins were half green and the size of a fist. But the rest of the trip was good-we made butter, rode on the cow train and ponies, made ice cream, walked the corn maze, played in the corn and had lunch! I'm happy we were there with the kids.

Red River Revel

Last Wednesday we headed down to the Red River Revel. It was our first time and it was awesome! We ate yummy food, listened to really loud Christian bands and had fun in the kids area where we painted, played grocery store and made sand bottle people.
