My Bathroom Vision is Reality

When we bought this house we knew the kids bathroom would have to be redone (one of many home improvement projects!).  There were cracked tiles all along the tub and we knew that wasn't good.  We were going to hire a guy to tile it but when it took him too long to get back to us and David had a few days off we were like forget it!  David's doing it!  And man did he do an amazing job!  I am in love with the tile we chose!  And David, he did quality work!  The entire redo took longer than I'd like to admit but when your man works crazy hours and you have 3 kids it takes awhile to get stuff done!  But now it's done and I'm in love and it truly was a family remodel-everyone helped!  I had a very difficult time choosing a "theme" if you will.  I wanted kid and fun but not obnoxious.  I think we nailed it!  And we got super organized!  Bath towel hooks for each kid, toothpaste/toothbrush holders, rag hooks, loofa hooks, color coded rinse cups...I just love organization!  Now to get our own HGTV Show and get paid to do this!  There are sure to be some more exciting posts in the days as head as were are working on a few other projects!

Our Sweet, Sweet Beau

Our sweet Beau passed away Saturday night/Sunday morning after a short fight with Lymphoma.  We are heart broken that he's gone but we are also so happy for him and relief that he's feeling.  His last few days were very tough on all of us.  The kids!  They were amazing with him!  They were always willing to try and hand feed him (which he totally loved) and give him lots of extra pets and love.  There are so many things we'll miss about Beau-how he cleaned up under the table, how much he loved pancakes, his playfulness, that he never lost his puppy chewing up of things, how he loved to sleep on the bed when one of us was gone, how he protected us, how he walked perfectly for his kids (not always true when he was walking with an adult), how he loved riding in the car, how he "talked" to us, that he would always try and trick us into giving him 2 breakfasts or dinners, and so much more.  But how lucky are we to say that he's been with us since day one!  Minute one actually!  We love and miss you dear boy!

Play Set

David designed and built the kids new swing set and it's perfect!  He made the playhouse big enough to fit all three and then some, the sandbox extra large for all the digging and road building the kids like to do, a swing for each of them, a rope swing that he braided himself, a big kid kinda tough rockwall and a slide!  And for me- he made it extra cute with siding and a double scalloped roof!  He's so good to us!
