Church Visits

Saturday night we visited Seacoast Church where Uncle Benjamin is the drummer!  The kids stayed for the beginning of the service so they could hear him play and then I headed outside with them.  After the service the kids were able to go on stage and play the drums!  Then we all headed out for pizza! Sunday we went to PopPop's church to hear him play the organ. Liam stayed for the service while the other kids went to nursery to play.  After service we were able to hear PopPop play and even try a few keys ourselves!

Birthday Party Day

Saturday we celebrated all the kiddos birthdays since we aren't able to it through out the year-good idea Granny!  We had enough cake to last us our entire visit!  So fun to celebrate with everyone!

Beach Day

We arrived in South Carolina Thursday evening (only the beginning of our long and crazy summer of driving/flying!) and headed straight for the beach on Friday!  It was wonderful!  The wind was really strong but the water was perfect! And PopPop is allowed special privileges to the Citadel Beach House so we were able to use their bathrooms and showers!

So Long Barksdale AFB

Good Byes

Lately we've been soaking in our friends before moving onto new adventures. Good byes are hard but it's the incredible relationships that we've made that make them so difficult. As I said in my FaceBook post tonight "Well, it's here-my last night in Louisiana. So many thoughts are running through my head and so many feelings are being felt. 3 1/2 years ago this was Barksdale, a stop we'd make along David's career path but now, now it's home. It's seen the best of us and worst. It's given us Mardi Gras and the Fleur De Lis. But most importantly it's given us friends. The best kind of friends we could ever have. Friends who have been here for us, friends who have loved us, friends to have fun with and friends to call family. Thank you Louisiana for the beautiful gift of friends! We're gonna miss y'all!" And to quote one of my favorite movies..."Beginnings are scary. Endings are usually sad, but it's what's in the middle that counts. So, when you find yourself at the beginning, just give hope a chance to float up. And it will."

BFFs

Callie's (Anderson's too!) best friend here in Louisiana is Lylah. Our two families met at gymnastics when the kids had just turned 2. And ever since then we've been like family to each other. The girls have been giving each other little gifts and drawings the past few weeks. Lylah gave Callie a ring with 2 hearts-1 is Callie, 1 is Lylah. This made Callie want to give something to Lylah so we decided on this Best Friends necklace. I love these girls so much and my is just heavy knowing that they won't get to see each other all the time. Until then FaceTime will have to do.

School Pictures

Opps, I forgot to post school pictures from April!

Sunday School Farewell

Sunday after Sunday School and church our class threw us a farewell party on the playground. It was perfect! We are going to miss this group of people so much! They have been such a huge part of our spiritual life and have been so influential on our journey to growing closer to God! And we've many a good times with them outside of church! We love y'all! I didn't get a picture before everyone left:( At least I got some of us!

3 Year Old Liam

Liam, I can hardly believe you are 3!  Times goes so quickly!  In the weeks leading up to your birthday your daddy asked you to stay 2 forever.  Which sunk in with you because when people asked you how old you were going to be you always responded by saying, "I'm going to be free(3) but my dad wants me to stay two forever."  You are such a boy boy!  You love trucks, cars, tractors, playing in the dirt and being outside!  You also have love for music-you are always singing and dancing.  You share/show your feeling openly whether you are madder than a hornet or giving out one of you many hugs and kisses!  We love you so much and just can't get enough of you!

At Liam's 3 year well visit he weighed 41 pounds and was 41 inches tall.

Liam's 3rd Birthday!!!

For Liams 3rd birthday we took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge in Texas. We only stayed 1 night because that place is expensive! But we had so much fun! We were in the water the entire time! We did the wave pool, the lazy river-not so lazy with all the kids, the splash pool, the outdoor pool and 2 of the big water slides! I was so impressed with Liam-he went down the big green water slide by himself! Multiple times!

We decorated the room with Cars because that's the party Liam requested-2 years in a row now! What can we say, the boy knows what he likes!   We had cupcakes for breakfast and played with his new tractors from Anderson and Callie anytime we weren't swimming!

Liam, it is such a pleasure to have you in our family! You bring us such joy with your firey personality, sense of humor and willingness to give so many hugs and kisses. Happy 3rd Birthday Bug/Little Man!
