Anderson's Rabbit Art On Display at the Lied Center

Kindergarten Music Concert

Staff Appreciation

My friend, Amanda, and I were co-chairs for this year's staff appreciation at school!  We had so much fun planning but boy was it more work than I ever expected!  We said it was a good thing we liked each other and didn't mind spending so much time together!  The theme for the week was farm.  Many of our friends gave us a hard time for choosing that theme but they just couldn't see the vision like we could!  In the end everyone loved it!   To involve the kids in decorating we had them turn in veggies with why they liked their teacher written on it (by the end of the week the amount of veggies had doubled!).  The rest of the decor was shabby, chic farm!    Each day also had a theme/event and each day the teachers had a little gift in their mailboxes!  They also had the chance to put their name in for drawings each day.  Monday was Rise and Shine It's Breakfast Time and popcorn was the mailbox gift.  Tuesday was a BBQ lunch and mason jar glasses.  Wednesday was U Pick Treat Cart and a $5 Sonic card and a free corndog coupon.  Thursday was Hay, Hay It's Pamper Day (complete with chair massages, hand scrubs, spa water and chocolate covered strawberries) with a stress relief hand sanitizer in their mailboxes.  And Friday we Dessert Trough and a $10 Target card!  Everyone said they loved it all which of course made us feel so good!  Those hard working teachers and staff sure deserve it!

Anderson's First Tooth

Anderson lost his first tooth!  It was loose for about week before it finally came out!  Apparently he had just finished telling Mrs. Gatewood that he was going to wait until the weekend to lose it but that tooth had other plans!  5 minutes later he was back at her desk with his tooth in his hand!  He lost it in the morning before lunch and when I picked him up he told me that he had been wishing it was an early release day because he couldn't wait to tell me!  Sweet boy!  He made out with $2 from the Tooth Fairy!
