Last Days in Livermore

We spent our last few days in Livermore at VBS, driving the gator, watching the movers, wine tasting and swimming with friends!

Mrs. Laura

Mrs. Laura...what can I say about Mrs. Laura...we were so blessed to have her as our neighbor in Livermore!  She loved on our kids like only a grandma can and she spoiled us rotten!  From extra treats at Halloween to cutting roses off her beautiful bushes with us to letting us bake our banana bread in her oven that day ours broke to letting us hangout on her porch the day we moved out.  She will always have a special place in our hearts!  As will Appy-I mean I'll never forget the giggles from the kids as they lay on the ground laughing as they were being covered in doggy licks.  We love and miss you Mrs. Laura!

Father's Day

Father's Day happened to be our last Sunday here in Livermore so we spent it doing what we love-church, brunch at Zypher, wine tasting and grilling out! We also picked up a couple of wine barrels for some projects and the kids got to drive the fork lift!  And yes, David had to grill his own dinner on Father's  Day! Happy Father's Day David! We heart you!

The Lab and Our House

Old Sacramento and a Train Ride

Today we went to Old Sacramento to ride the Sacramento Southern Railroad.  We were lucky enough to get a steam engine!  The ride was short but nice and went between the river and the freeway.  Before we hopped on the train we hit up the Candy Heaven store and ate lunch on the river.  After we walked around town for a little before Liam decided he was done so we headed home for dinner, baths and to take Grandpa and Grandma to the train station to catch their plane home.  Another great visit with Grandpa and Grandma!

Chinatown and Twin Peaks

Monday we headed into San Francisco to check a few more to-dos off my list!  We made it to Chinatown where we walked and shopped and ate a yummy lunch at Hunan's Home.  We also swung by the fortune cookie factory.  From there we headed to the Ferry Building which was full of restaurants and eateries.  There we had ice cream while watching the ferries come and go.  Then it was on to Twin Peaks.  Talk about amazing views of the city!  The wind was so strong though that we only stayed for 5 minutes or so.  We then had dinner down at Buena Vista Cafe before finally heading home at 8!  We had a fun day and everyone was on their best behavior!  The biggest fit we had was me when I couldn't find a bathroom to use!
