Big Kid Beds

Last night Anderson and Callie moved into their big kid beds. They did a good job! We tucked them in, closed the door and went and watched the video monitor. It took awhile but they did get out of their beds and goof around. After 30-45 minutes David and I went back in and tucked them back into bed after changing their diapers. Awhile later we heard nothing and figured they were sleeping but we didn't know where, all we knew after checking the monitor was that they weren't in their beds! We went in and checked on them before we went to bed and found them laying in all their stuffed animals in the middle of the floor. We put them into their beds. At Liam's middle of the night feeding we checked the monitor and Anderson was curled up at the head of his bed and Callie was sleeping with her upper half on her bed and her lower half on the floor! We didn't hear from them until their normal wake up time-yay! And naps today went well! Liam now has a crib, even though he's still sleeping in our room. Now I'm going to take minute to brag on David and I. David made Anderson and Callie's beds and he did such an awesome job-so proud of him! And I made all the linens (for all three kids) with the exception of the Anderson and Callie's quilts and Liam's blanket which Grandma made.  I also made the picture frames, name board (David cut the wood) and initial circles in Liam's room.  Notice the foot stools by Liam's changing table?  Callie and Anderson like to help change his diaper, get him dressed and sooth him!

Dallas

Sunday morning we left for a few days of vacation in Dallas.  This was Liam's first road trip and he did great!  On the drive out we stopped at a yummy BBQ place that both David and I had spotted on other trips.  Once in Dallas we headed to the Children's Museum at the Nature and Science Museum.  The kids had a great time playing farm, house and everything else!  Anderson also got his first tattoo-a hammerhead shark and he was so proud of it!  We then checked into the hotel where Liam gave us his first "real" smiles!  We ate dinner at Mia's, a wonderful Mexican place that David found for us!  Monday we spent the day at the Dallas Zoo.  The kids fed the Koi, Anderson petted the goats and was licked by a giraffe!  Callie, however, enjoyed the animals from a safer distance and often in Grandma's arms.  After naps we played in the outdoor pool, where Callie admired two older girls-she even had to lay out on her towel like one of the girls!  We at dinner at Bellini's Italian Restaurant, another place David found for us!  We walked in to find tablecloths and candles on the tables and a very quiet atmosphere but we stayed anyways and the kids did great!  Tuesday we played at a playground and stopped by the Farmer's Market.  For lunch we tried two places (rejecting them due to one only having high tops and the other had a wait that was too long) before eating at The Free Man-it was good but yes, this was the kids first experience eating in a bar bar-at least it was 12:30 pm and not 12:30am;)

The Weekend

Here are some pictures from this weekend...Anderson and Callie want to do everything that Baby Brother does!  Sunday Liam had his first experience on the playmat. As you can see Callie and Anderson had to relive their glory days too!  Sunday evening was Liam's first Air Force Family BBQ!  We all had an nice time and the big kids enjoyed playing on the new bed Dad is making for the twins!  We were planning on him making just one and turning one of the cribs into a toddler bed (the other crib is going to Liam) but the bed is too stinkin' cute that I'm making him make another!  Shoes are a big thing in this house!  Here the kids are modeling Dad's flip flops and Grandma's socks and shoes!

Liam's 1 Month
