A Quiet Thanksgiving, Just The Fab Five

MOPS Fire Dept Trip

Today we went to the Bossier City Fire Dept with our MOPS friends! In sticking with the theme we went to to Firehouse Subs for lunch afterwards! I just love MOPS!

Natchitoches

Saturday we headed to down to our first Christmas Festival of Lights in Natchitoches. It's been on my Christmas bucket list since we've moved here so I was really excited to go and on opening night! We arrived around 3:30 and went straight to Laysone's for meat pies! They're famous for their meat pies and I wanted David to have one! So good with hot sauce.  We then walked around town, played in a great little toy store, ate ice cream and jumped in a bouncy house until it was time for the lights to come on and the fireworks to start!  It was AWESOME!  The lights were pretty and it one of the best fireworks shows I've ever seen!

We're moving!

This coming July we will be moving to Livermore, California (in the bay area) so David can attend school at Lawrence Livermore National Lab!

School Thanksgiving

Thursday we went up to school for the twins Thanksgiving Feast. Mom and I prepared lunches and then mom helped serve them! The kids were pretty excited to have Grandma hand them their tray! And check out the funny pics they took earlier this month! And sweet little Liam!

San Antonio

Last week we headed to San Antonio for the week. David had PRK eye surgery and we tagged along. We had a good time but the weather put a bit of a cramp in all our outdoor plans. We played at McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A, the New Braunfels Childrens Museum, Bigz and the Godinez house! We made it through but I must admit there were a number of times I thought I was going to lose my mind. Thankfully I had so many wonderful people to see and hang out with! On our way home we did the drive thru zoo.

Halloween

Halloween was such a good time. Our little section of the neighborhood had a potluck with lots of yummy, festive food, a hayride and a bonfire. The kids had a great time trick-or-treating and playing until we drug them home at 11pm! It was so nice to have a fun, "normal" night after the past 2 months!
