Major! Major!

After waiting almost 2 years David finally pinned on Major!  Yay for the promotion and the pay increase that accompanies it!  Granny, PopPop and Sarabeth were all able to attend!  Chris Duff was the narrator, Joe Ferguson gave the invocation and Mr. Ward was the officiant.  It was low key and awesome! Congrats Dada!!!

Independence Bowl

We decided to brave the rain and cold and use our free tickets (thank you base) to attend the Independence Bowl.  No one would take our money to park so a police officer told us to just park, which we did in the front row!  We made it inside the stadium, got a few corn dogs and headed to our seats.  We arrived late and only made it to the bands performing at half-time.  It was cold and windy and the kids did great but I'm happy we left when we did-along with half of the other people who were there, which was not many!

Boxing Day Tea

We had a few friends over for an informal Boxing Day Tea.  The kids played wonderfully together and us adults enjoyed great conversation!

Our Christmas

Christmas this year was a totally throw back! David made Callie a Barbie house, similar to mine as a girl, and we filled it with all my old Barbie furniture, clothes, accessories and Barbies! We gave Anderson all of my old Legos and a binder to keep all of his direction books, my old books are included! Liam was given tractors, all new, but David's old one is on its way here! Merry Christmas!

Boettger Christmas

This morning we had Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma.  The kids loved their gifts and quickly got to playing with them.  One of my favorite moments was when Liam opened his present and could only see the picture of the tractor on the box and he yelled "I can't believe it!"  Oh his pure joy!  We also made sugar cookies and who can resist "wefies" with mom and grandpa!

Gingerbread Houses, Stanley's and Santa Land

This morning we made gingerbread houses.  Grandma and I then took each of the kids shopping to buy their gifts for the other kiddos.  Once all of that was finished we headed to Tyler, TX to eat a BBQ dinner at Stanley's and then it was onto Santa Land after a 2 mile (11/2 hour) wait, which was totally worth it!
