This morning we took a leisurely walk to check out new books at the library. Everyone made great choices!

Thursday Nights

This past year has been full of Thursday nights when David has been gone. On those weeks the kids and I have taken the opportunity to meet up with the Kelly's, an amazing crew that we met when we were introduced at a play date way back in August. Ever since then it's been fun, fun, fun and trading of kids clothes! Oh, we do hang out at times other than on Thursday;)

Heather Farms Park

Monday we spent a few hours at Heather Farms Park with our friend Kelsey and his mom, Mrs. RuthE. We met them through bible study and have totally enjoyed our friendship with them and the fun times we have had together! I mean who thought we would go fake grass sledding in California!

Bed Buddies

While Dad's away everyone gets a night to sleep in bed with Mom! Such precious babies!

Anderson Passed Another!

California Academy of Sciences and Other Adventures

Yesterday we headed into San Fransisco to visit The California Academy of Sciences. I was very impressed with all it had to offer. We started out by going through a 3 story rainforest. From there we went down to the aquariums, which were awesome! We then had lunch before checking out the earthquake exhibit where we got to experience a simulated earthquake. I can't imagine really being in one-so scary! We finished by checking out the African Safari and Color/Camflauge Exhibits. Anderson correctly counted 70 green beetles! They were pinned so that was helpful! Since we were near a few things in Golden Gate Park that the kids hadn't been to we made a few quick stops to see a playground (where we made new city friends and worked on our monkey bar skills) the buffalo pen and the Dutch windmill.  We then headed to the Sutro Baths and on to Cliff House for dinner with a beautiful ocean view. And we made it out of town before the sporting events let out for the night so our drive home was nice and easy!

Farmer's Market

The Farmer's Market is back in session! Thursday we walked down for Thirsty Thursday (wine tasting) and to hear the band break in the new bandshell. From there we went to Mexican and then home. It was a cold walk home once the sun started setting!

Happy Mother's Day

Breakfast, gifts, a walk, church, lunch out, wine tasting, a grilled dinner and more! Here's to a great Mother's Day and the best picture I got with the kids! Boy, they're going to love it when they're teenagers and I show all of their friends how photogenic they used to be! You three are my world and I love you so much!

 

House Hunting

Last week we flew to Minnesota and dropped the kiddos off with Grandma and Grandpa and everyone else so that we could drive down to Omaha and house hunt. Our trip was a success and we have a contract on a great house! The kids had a blast. They went to a birthday party, to Great Grandma's, George and Ellee's and more! We made it back Wednesday night so we were all able to have some fun together before flying home!
