Father Daughter Dance

Lego Exhibit

This past weekend Grandma and Grandpa came to visit.  The weather was gorgeous!  We went to Lauritzen Gardens to see the Lego exhibit and to check out the place since we've never been.  We also checked out a local BBQ which turned out to yummy!  Thanks for coming to visit us!

Lions Firehouse Visit

Weekends

Since David tends to work weekends, we've been using that time to be silly around the house and hang out with friends while enjoying some of our favorite things around the city.

Mardi Gras

We've been testing King Cake recipes around here the past month or so have had a blast doing so!  At the end of January we had a Mardi Gras party and brought a little bit of Louisiana to Nebraska! Why, yes, we did tie dye shirts as a family!   Anyways, it's always fun to introduce people to the crazy!

Pinewood Derby

As Lion Anderson was invited to participate in the Pinewood Derby.  The Lions were a class of their own and raced remade cars that we painted at the previous meeting.  Anderson won 3rd!  The boys had a great time and they are totally excited for next year when they'll make their own car!

100 As for 100th Day

BOB Bridge

The BOB bridge is a pedestrian bridge that connects Nebraska and Iowa.  We had a beautiful day to go check it out!

2x4 Snowmen

We used our day off for Martin Luther King Jr to make 2 x 4 snowmen.  It was a lot of work but so fun!  The first thing the kids did was measure themselves and cut the board to their height.  Then they did a few coats of white paint, painted the nose and buttons and then cut out the scarves.  A day later they used black paint and their finger prints to make the faces!  They turned out so cute and they look great on our front porch and seeing as were not getting any snow here they're only snowmen in the neighborhood!
