Great Grandpa's 80th in Pharr, TX

Thursday morning we left bright and early so we could pick Grandma up in Dallas and drive down to Pharr to celebrate Great Grandpa's 80th birthday!  The weather was cooler than we were hoping but we still had a good time.  I was better about taking pictures this weekend but I'm still not back to my picture snapping self, maybe it's because the kids are so active!  Saturday morning Callie had her first trip to the ER.  They said she had an allergic reaction to something-her face was swollen and covered in a red rash. She still has a rash but it's looking better and we'll see our doctor here tomorrow.  Other than that we played, ate and in general the kids were spoiled by Great Grandma and Grandpa, Great Aunt Merri and Grandma.  Little Miss also learned how to get her way!  If I didn't give her Bunny Snacks she'd ask Great Grandpa, or she'd only eat out of Grandma's "special baggie," or she wouldn't eat in her high chair but she'd eat in Great Grandma's lap!  Anderson had a nice time playing farm with Great Grandpa-seeing as he is a farmer himself!  Sunday evening we headed to San Antonio, spent the night and finished our drive home Monday.  As always, the kids were amazing travelers!

PopPop and Granny's Visit

This last weekend Granny and PopPop came for a visit and boy did we have fun! I did a horrible job of taking pictures but Granny did a wonderful job so hopefully she'll share those with me and I can post a few more! Anderson and Callie had a great time playing, reading, eating and hanging out with Granny and PopPop. One day Anderson had us in tears and nearly rolling on the floor in laughter while he was wearing PopPop's glasses-he's such a ham! We also had our first king Cake while they were here and it was delicious!

Baby Brother's Doctor Report

Today we had an appointment for baby brother.  Everything went well!  My belly is measuring 23 cm and his heartbeat is at 162.  When watching the video you can hear his heartbeat when the screen starts showing the numbers.

18 Months

To celebrate the kids 18 month birthday (yesterday) I took them to Tiny Town an indoor play area that I have been wanting to try ever since we moved. The playing went great but the leaving was terrible! After 15 minutes, and myself a sweaty mess, we had our shoes and coats on and were finally walking out the door. I told myself I would never go back since leaving was so tough but a mom today at MOPS suggested that I bring them in the stroller so that I can strap them in when it's time to leave. Hello!?! Great idea! Why didn't I think of that! So I'll probably give it another go. We tried to eat dinner out seeing as it was also Valentine's Day but Anderson had other plans for us. After ordering our food David took Anderson and Callie out to the car while I paid the bill and got our orders to go. It too was terrible but we made it home and we all had a little something to eat. Then being the old, married (and pregnant) couple that we are we watched tv on the couch.  Ah, romance;) but like I said to David, I love our life and wouldn't trade it for anything!  Anderson and Callie, you have brought so much joy to our lives and we are so thankful God gave you to us!  Happy 18 Month Birthday!  We love you!

This Past Week

This past week Callie has been feeling down, we think it's a combo between allergies and a virus. Needless to say she's been to the doctor twice and on a few different meds. Lately, we've been working on our coloring! Check out the photos and videos (I'm just loving videos right now!).

Friday the kids received a package from Grandpa Boettger which contained a pull behind alligator.  At first, Anderson wasn't so sure about it but he quickly warmed up.  Callie of course was eager to play right away!

Saturday night the kids had their first sitter here in Louisiana while David and I attended an event at a golf course a little over an hour east of here with about 150-175 other guests, 11 of us Air Force. It was pretty awesome and we met some pretty important people James Davison Jr (the man who invited us, has lots of money and owns lots of things and is big into the military-Wounder Warrier, and is looking for more ways to show his support-hence the reason we were invited!), The Gatlin Brothers performed and met with us personally before hand, during dinner we met Karl Malone (he played for the Utah Jazz) and after dinner we met the Mayor of Ruston, the Federal Judge of Shreveport and lots of people with lots of money.  Overall, it was a fun night out.  I felt a little like one of the girls on my favorite Bravo series-The Real Housewives!

Sunday before heading to church Anderson was sure to finish all of his farm chores!

22 Weeks (Yesterday)

Hmm, I seem to remember being so much bigger at this point in my pregnancy with the twins but the pictures seem to show otherwise!  I guess I better lay off all the sweets (cookies, ice cream, brownies) I've been eating!  But they are just so good which is why the old wives-tale of craving something sweet means a girl can't be true!  The top is this pregnancy and the bottom is the twin pregnancy-maybe it's the black that's slimming me;)

Christmas Trikes

Today we finally got the kids the trikes we told them they were getting from us for Christmas.  We had gotten them different ones a few weeks ago but we weren't happy with them so back to the store they went.  These are great!  For the time being there's a handle to push the kids since their feet don't completely reach the pedals and then once they can reach we can remove the handle and off they'll go on their own!
