Cilantro

The kids planted cilantro in greenhouses at school and they've grown beautifully!

Great Grandparents and Great Aunt Merri

Thursday morning Great Aunt Merri, Great Grandpa and Great Grandma came for a visit.  They decided they missed us so much that they needed to take a little detour on their drive from Pharr, TX to Minnesota.  We're so glad they came and that we were able to show them our life down here in Louisiana!  Thursday we celebrated Great Grandma's birthday with a cake decorated by the kiddos and met our new little cousin/niece/great granddaughter on FaceTime!  We're already in love with Ellee Sue Boettger!  Lots of time was spent playing and showing them our academic skills.  Friday we took them to base to see the static planes and to have lunch on base.  We also made sure that they really did it up Louisiana style with daiquiris, boudin and grilled stuffed chicken!  And don't forget the driveway fire!  We had a great time and love you all!!

Ponytails

Today Callie and I cut and donated our ponytails to Pantene Beautiful Lengths in honor of Aunt Brenda.  I cut mine this morning while the kids were at school.  As soon as I picked them up Callie asked if we were going home to cut he ponytail off.  Ever since the boys shaved their heads she's been back and forth about cutting her hair and about having Rapunzel hair.  So I have been hesitant to cut it in fear of her freaking out.  But it was the topic of conversation the entire car ride home.  So I called outrstylist and she happened to have an appointment at 2:30.  Callie did an amazing job and even squealed in delight when Miss Amy handed her the ponytail!  So far she's loving it and looks so cute!  Way to go Callie!  I've also included a picture of Aunt Brenda from the day she donated hers!

St Pat's Day

This morning we woke up to find that a leprechaun had visited our home!  He left us a note and a few other things!  At first Callie and Anderson tried to blame the green pee on me!  When I showed them that my feet were too big they decided it must have been Liam!  When they found out his feet were too big they decided it was a leprechaun!  They were so mad at him!  They then found the rest of the surprises "Irish" our leprechaun left.  They had a fun morning trying to find him!  When David tried to FaceTime (he's gone for the week) they would hardly talk to him because they were so hyped up! And I have to tell you I love how excited these kids get over these things!  I mean just look at Anderson's face when he found his gold!  Love it! And after a morning of chasing leprechauns you may just have to put yourself to rest on the couch!

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

Grandma and Grandpa spent the last week with us!  We packed in a lot of new adventures (this city/area has more to offer than I realized when we first moved here!)  We made it to our first basketball game, hiked, ate and saw the animals at Black Cypress Bayou, went to SciPort, had crawfish, played Tball, did academics,  checked out Gator and Friends, had Sweet Frog Froyo (it happened to be the froggys' birthday), and celebrated Beau's birthday.  We always have a great time with Grandpa and Grandma!  Can't wait until we "see you in Minnesota!" Hugs and Kisses!
