Christmas Eve and Day with the Boettgers

Christmas Eve we headed to church, came home had dinner and then opened a few presents. Christmas Day we woke up and had Christmas pancakes! After morning nap Uncle Josh and Aunt Brenda came. We opened stockings and gifts from Santa, had brunch, opened more presents, played with our new toys, napped and ate again! Christmas was so much fun this year because the kids were totally into opening their presents! Tomorrow we start our road trip to our new home in Louisiana!

Anderson Side Christmas

Yesterday we had Christmas with the Anderson side.  The kids loved it!  They didn't even eat in their high chairs!  They just moved from person to person, smiled and got a bite to eat!  We even let them walk around with their sippy cups in hand (1st time ever!) and they thought that was just great!  We also started working on "High 5s!"  And their cute little outfits were made by myself and Grandma!  The bottom picture is a picture I took of their wonderful picture with Santa:)

Christmas with the Boettger Side, Noodles and Macy's 8th Floor

The kids have taken to giving the dogs treats when the dogs come inside.  Once the dogs are inside and sitting on the rug, the kids point to the treat jar.  Each of them gets to give each dog a treat and boy do they love it-all 4 of them!  Wednesday night the Boettger side of the family came over to celebrate Christmas.  Anderson and Callie were a little shy at first but quickly warmed up to everyone.  They each received a present to open and once they opened it they wanted to open more and more!  Good thing Great Aunt Karen was nice and let them open her presents with her.  Thursday we went on a family outing to Noodles (one of Mom and Dad's favorite places to eat in MN) and then downtown to Macy's 8th Floor Christmas Exhibit (Mom has been going since she was a small child)!  I've also decided to start showcasing Callie's morning hair, as you can see it is often very stylish!

Chicken Chores Outside

Today was a beautiful day here in Andover, 40+ which is unheard of for this time of year!  The kids spent some time outside today helping Grandpa with the chicken chores, having their first ride in a wheelbarrow and running around!  Our stay here in the cities has been going great!  We've had a lot of play dates-Joe and Lucy, Miles and William, and Zander and Zoe!  Mom has even had a few meals out with her friends-so nice!  Some updates of things that have been going on:
*Anderson and Callie are totally into waving!  Anderson waves all the time, any time!
*Callie has taken to pooping in private-in the entry way, behind the couch...
*Callie is into throwing her food on the ground or feeding it right to the dogs if they are around.
*Anderson is saying dog (sounds more like da) and pointing when he sees a dog, hears a dog or sees a picture of a dog!
*And of course "monkey see, monkey do" is a big hit around here!
*Anderson has decided to use walking as his main mode of transportation!
*The kids already knew how to find their belly button, now Anderson can find his nose and yours, and both kids are working on "so big!"
