Trolley Time

This morning we headed into San Francisco to ride the trolley, something the kids have been wanting to do. I figured everyone would be busy shopping but they weren't...we still had to wait an hour to ride. But the kids did great waiting and we had perfect seats once we got on. Kids are required to sit so I sat with them but David got to hang off the side like the movies!  Our ride took us to the water and there we bumped into the Maritime. This was a great little bump into (we didn't really have plans other than the trolley) and the kids had a good time looking around the ships there. From there we headed over a few blocks to Fishermen Wharf for lunch at Pompei's Grotto which was wonderful! Our past experiences eating down in the wharf have been ok, either good food or good atmosphere but not really both. Well, today we found both and the kids menus came with wiki stiks and their lunches came with ice cream!  We took the street car back to our car and headed home. It was really nice checking out some of the fun transportation in SF!

Thanksgiving

We had a quiet little Thanksgiving. We started the day off by running in the 1st Annual Scott Family 5k Turkey Trot! It was a bit chilly at 38 when we headed out. When we finished our run we began cooking and setting the tables. At one we had lunch with Mr. Steve and Ms Allyson. Everything was delicious and the company was wonderful! And then we relaxed and the kids went crazy! Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Homeschool

Dance Class

Wednesday I had a bit of a mom fail. The boys have baseball from 9:15-10 but it always goes late. I mean late, until 10:20/10:30. This week I thought I was smart and we drove instead of walking out our back gate so we could jump right into the car make it to dance on time. Well, when we got to dance, on time, I realized I had Callie's shoes but not her leotard! So she danced in her clothes!

Liam's Medal

Tuesday Liam passed his last beginner swim class! Now he's onto the intermediate level (4 classes). Great job bug! We're proud of you! And notice the new backdrop! Just for photos!

Wine Trolley

Saturday we headed out on the Livermore Wine Trolley!  The kids were at home with the babysitter so it was just us adults!  We went to a total of 4 wineries.  The first 2 were awesome!  We even became members at one because we've been there numerous time and always love it so now we're official!  The last two left a little or maybe a lot to be desired.  No matter though because we had lots of fun!  And being the sweet cousin I am I won't blog the pictures of what happens to you when you're the first to pass out after the wine trolley:)

Tiffany and Natalie in San Fran

My cousins Tiffany and Natalie came for a visit this last weekend and we had a great time!  Friday we spent the day in San Fran and boy did we pack in the fun!  We started at the Golden Gate Bridge or as the kids call it the California Bridge, which was awesome!  After grabbing a quick bite there we headed to the Palace of Fine Arts.  I had never heard of it but Natalie wanted to go.  I'm so glad she did!  It was gorgeous and aside from a crazy foreigner saying hi and trying to take pictures of my kids we had a great time!  We found a museum (also offices, a cafe, a soon to be school and more) in an old hanger which was neat and awkward all at the same time!  Then it was down Lombard Street-2 times!  I'm so glad my bus could handle it!  Our fun continued at Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 where we watched the Sean Lions and sunset and had dinner.  Everything went so smooth and the kids (old and young) did a great job for being gone all day!
