Remembering Dr. Fischbach and David's Birthday

Today we attended Dr. Fischbach's funeral. He passed away last Thursday. When I heard the news last week I got a little teary eyed. Dr. Fischbach was an amazing doctor and over the years he became very important to us. He became our doctor when we started trying to expand our family. He was with us through all of our testing, surgery, treatments, pregnancy, and birth! We will truly miss him (especially when we decide to expand again) and are so thankful that we were able have him as a doctor and friend. Yesterday we stopped at his office (after a pediatrician appointment) and spent sometime with Candy, his nurse. She shared many fond memories of Dr. Fischbach with us and we spent a lot of time smiling and laughing over all of the stories.

On a happier note Grandma and Grandpa were here visiting this past weekend. We all had a great time, especially David and I since we were able to go on two dates (out to dinner and drinks and to the shooting range)!

Saturday, October 23-David turned 30! We had a small party for David with the kiddos, grandparents, and doggies!

Anderson and Callie have really started smiling, cooing and making eye contact this past week! I love watching and interacting with them, as does Dad! They are just so fun!

Here's how Anderson and Callie will be traveling this winter-in style thanks to Grandma!

2 Months!!!

October 11-Individual Time-Callie spent her first afternoon shopping with mom at Kmart, JoAnn and the grocery store. Anderson spent the afternoon playing football with dad. It was fun to have individual time with the kids!
October 14-Anderson and Callie turned 2 months on Thursday! Here are their monthly pictures!

I tried loading this picture several times and it won't rotate! It's correct on the computer so I don't know what the deal is but I think he looks too cute with his little smile!

Smiley!

All he wanted to do was look at the window!

Guess Callie must have pinched Anderson before I took this one;)

Notice Anderson's arm around Callie!

Both kiddos have a nuk with a stuffed animal attached to it for easy finding. Anderson has a puppy and Callie has a monkey-as you can see here. Dad thought it was funny to set the monkey on top of her head!
*October 15-Anderson and Callie spent the night in their nursery for the first time! We all did great! And thank goodness for video monitors, even if they are right next door!

School Shower and Papa's Pumpkin Patch

October 7-We had our Lewis and Clark School Shower thrown by my favorite kindergarten teachers! The shower was beautiful and the kids had a wonderful time meeting everyone! Some of the big things Anderson and Callie got were a double stroller and a wagon!

October 10-We went to Papa's Pumpkin Patch in Bismarck! We went through the corn maze, watched pumpkins get shot off, took advantage of the picture backdrops, ate snacks and picked out pumpkins!

A Really Long Post with Lots of Pictures and Videos

Sept. 24-Anderson saw the doctor and was put on reflux medicine. It has made a huge difference! He's still thrown up a few times but we've had a number of days with only "regular" baby spit up! He's also less fussy and seems happier eating! Yay!
Sept. 24-Our first family dinner out! We went to a local North Dakota place-Kroll's Diner! We had yummy milkshakes and chicken sandwiches! The kids did great and were the star attraction! Check out the girl in the booth behind us! She couldn't take her eyes off Callie! Luckily she didn't sneeze or cough-I was worried:)

Sept. 25-We took our first walk in Oak Park and have been back many times since!

Sept. 25-All dressed and ready to attend their 1st church service!

Sept. 27-Our wonderful neighbor brought over pumpkins she had painted for the kids and I put them out right away. When David got home from work he thought up this picture!

Sept. 28-We went in for my 6 week check up. Everything looked good so I was given the go ahead to resume normal life! Callie is being held by Dr. Fischbach and Anderson by Nurse Candy-who we got to know very well during all of our appointments!

Sept. 30-Anderson took his first bottle (of pumped breast milk!) without any trouble! He did it again on Saturday while I was at a baby shower! Now I'll have a little more freedom! We're giving Callie the chance to try this week!
Oct.3-Anderson and Callie attended their 1st birthday party for Addison who turned 4 and for twins, Ashlyn and Alexis who turned 2!

Callie loves lifting her head when we are playing on the floor. Here's a short video of her showing off.
Here's a video of Anderson showing off during playtime!
