Our Last Few Days without Dad-Livin' Outside

Liam's 11 Months!

Yesterday little Liam turned 11 months!  He quite the little man!  He loves wrestling with his brother and is often the one who instigates!  He also loves crawling onto the kids size chairs we have in front of the window and looking out.  Throwing everything he can get his hands on has proven to us the kid has a pretty good arm!  He has started eating more solids foods-muffins, peas, broccoli, pasta, hot dogs and more.  Happy 11 Months Liam!  We can hardly believe in a month you'll be 1!

A Quick Visit with Grandma & Grandpa

Saturday after lunch Grandpa and Grandma's plane arrived!  We picked them up and headed home for some lunch.  Liam then took a nap while the rest of us played.  When Liam woke up we headed to Hobby Lobby to pick up a few things for my crafts.  Then to the park, where we tried to feed the ducks but they didn't want to eat and it turns out tortillas sink.  Anderson and Callie weren't to into play-whether it was because they just woke up from nap or because they've never been to that park and there were tons of kids-we'll never know.  Finally it was to Crawfish Palace for dinner!  I think we were all a little nervous when we walked in but it turned out to be wonderful!  We were given a short lesson on how to properly peel/eat a crawfish and then we were off!  I've had crawfish before (years back) and wasn't a fan, however I totally ate this stuff.  It was good!  Anderson had 5-6 but Callie wouldn't give them a try.  And while we were eating Liam made friends with a lady who was giving him a hard time about throwing everything on the floor, but she played his game and kept picking stuff up for him.  Sunday we hung out at home before going on a "surprise" to Disney on Ice!  The big kids each got a cool light up toy and really enjoyed the show, especially the Tangled section!  Liam did a great job for not getting an afternoon nap but he did get a little antsy.  We played outside and grilled when we got home.  Monday the kids hung out with Grandma and Grandpa while I ran some errands.  Then we planted flowers and played outside until we left for ice cream before dropping them off at the airport.  Thanks for a great visit!  We miss you already!

Our Friday for You Daddy:)

Today was another wonderful adventure.  First, I discovered the kids have been hiding dog treats in their closet!  So that's why the dogs always and I mean always follow us in there!  That was followed up by a little light reading on the dog bed.  It is here that I heard Callie say this to Anderson, "Anderson, come here.  I have a question for you.  Read this or this?"  I guess our Love and Logic choice giving is working!  We then went to Jumpin' Jupiter, an indoor bounce park, with some friends from school.  The kids had a wonderful time and got straight to jumping, no hesitating!  They even had the courage to climb up and slide down the huge slide.  You'll see how fast they were going because they are only blurs in the pictures!  Notice in the first picture Liam gave it a try too, with a little help from mom!  2 hours later we headed home.  After the kids finally took a nap we went on a walk with our dear friends, Diana and Kira.  Pizza and fruit for dinner and we'll call it a day.

The Beginning of May

Storytime:
1. The kids and I have officially used the triple jogger! We went 2.62 miles around the neighborhood and I actually ran a chunk of it!  So serious looking at the construction workers, aren't they?!
2.  Liam is now feeding himself his own bottle!  Bittersweet because he's no longer a baby but so nice to be able to get the twins breakfast or shop while he feeds himself.  Good thing he's ok laying on our self-relieving kitchen mat!
3. Today while Liam and I were on the phone Facetiming with David I heard the kids being mischievous.  I thought they were in our bedroom but upon further investigation I found them in the dryer!  I can tell this is only the beginning, it's only going to get funnier around here!
4.  On the way to gymnastics Callie saw the sign for the new Chuckee Cheese (which we have said nothing about) and said "I don't see a cat, I just see a mouse."  I then asked what cats do to mice, no answer.  A minute later she says "Let's play a game, a mouse game."  I asked how to play and she had no response but Anderson decided he too wanted in on this mouse game.
5.  At dinner after gymnastics Anderson found a picture of what he wanted to eat.  I knew he wouldn't eat it so I ordered him something else.  When the server brought our food Anderson looked at him like this isn't what I ordered, so I asked the server (we go to this little Mexican restaurant all the time so he knows us) if he could bring Anderson a cherry, which is what he wanted from the picture.  He brought him a whole bowl and after he ate 4 he spit the 5th one out and said "I don't like it."  Wow, after eating 4, what a silly guy!  Callie had to get in on the fun too, but only ate 1 before deciding she didn't like them.
