Ms Rebecca and Mr Matt's Wedding
I don't have much to write about this wedding...other than it was beautiful, the kids did great (yes, we bribed them with toys) and we had an amazing time! I think the pictures speak for themselves! Happy Wedding Day Ms Rebecca and Mr Matt! We love you both!
10 Years!!!
Friday was our 10 year anniversary! We made it to the double digits! Now, I would have never chosen to spend our 10 year anniversary in Bossier City. I mean, the Bahamas, Italy, even Lanesboro but it couldn't have turned out any better! We've been through a lot these past 10 years, more than most couples will ever go through but we did it! We didn't give up on each, we didn't quit, we didn't take the easy way and we never stopped loving each other! And through all the high highs and low lows we've had our family and friends by our sides! Cheering for us, supporting us, loving us. So why not spend it celebrating the love of people we love with some of those we love!? And I would have never imagined that we'd attend a rehearsal dinner and that our names would be on the cake, what an honor! So thankful to be able to celebrate this awesome accomplishment! I love you David! Here's to another 10 and another 10 and another 10...
Bossier Friend Reunion!
We arrived in Bossier City late afternoon on Tuesday to stay with our friends Lylah and Ellis and to meet up with Sutton, who came in from Tennessee! And of courses their mommies, unfortunately all the daddies with the exception of David had to work. Anyways, the kids were ecstatic to see each other and we had a great time! The kids played and screamed and played and screamed! We did make it to Chick-Fil-A for lunch one day, outside to play in the sprinkler, to Cypress Zoo and Nature Center and we made friendship pillow cases (great idea Shannon and Stephanie). It was so good to such some of our favorite people and to soak each other up! Until next summer!
Livermore to Louisiana and a Few Shout Outs
We left Livermore bright and early Saturday morning to begin our almost 2000 mile drive to Louisiana. The kids did an amazing job riding in the car-as always! Quick shout out to Granny and PopPop for the doodle books that kept the kids busy for 2 afternoons straight! While driving we did learn that our sweet Liam does not like freeways! He was always asking "When are we going to get off the freeway?" When I decided to tell him he was like an old man because he loves cars and hates freeways he became upset, so needless say I didn't make that comment again but he did ask about getting off the freeway another thousand times or so!
Our nightly stops included Vegas (where we swam like champs until we were just too hungry for dinner around 8:30!), Albuquerque (where our sweet friends left us a huge bag of goodies at the front desk because we arrived to late to be able to play, shout out Agnes'!) and Amarillo (where Liam didn't want to go to bed so he stood next to his bed until who knows when!).
Tuesday as were we an hour out from Barksdale to drop off the car and trailer we ran into a little hiccup...earlier in the drive I was cleaning out the glovebox like any good passenger and I came across our expired registration! We were unable to find a current one so at the next stop David checked the tabs, sure enough they were expired! The next morning I paid for our new tabs online and had them sent to the new house. We thought alright we're good to go but opps maybe not! We totally forgot about not being able to get onto base with expired tabs! So the brain storming session began and 10 minutes into it we called our friends the Lewis' who have a crazy large yard in the city and asked if we could park it at their house. With out missing a beat they said yes and our problem was solved! Shout out to the Lewis' for being amazing!
Driving, riding and unloading at hotels every night is a lot of work but this country of ours is so beautiful and I feel so fortunate that I get to see so much of it!
