Birth Through Day 6=LOTS of Pictures!

Saturday morning at 9:00 David and I headed to the hospital to get checked in for my c-section. We checked in without any problems and then it was sit around and wait! Oh, the waiting was terrible! We were ready! Anyways, the surgery went really well and there were no problems! David was unable to be in the room with me but he was able to watch everything from behind a door-I can't say I would want to see it all! Anderson David was born first at 12:52 weighing 7lbs and measuring 20 inches. As soon as I heard his cry tears ran down my checks! Callie Grace was born at 12:54 weighing 4lbs8oz and measuring 17.5 inches. I also heard her cry immediately and it was very different from Anderson's. As they we putting me back together David took the twins and headed to the nursery for the weighings, measurements, baths...Once I was back from recovery we spent sometime together as a family before asking the grandparents to come up. I was not assigned a roommate so David was able to stay with me all 3 nights! It was wonderful to spend sometime in the hospital and to get started with our routine. Everyone there took such good care of us-I didn't want to leave! Ever since then we've been in parental bliss.

Final Picture Before the Twins

I was able to see the babies as soon as they were born since there were no health problems. This is Anderson David. We knew a number of the nurses so they were really good about getting pictures and giving us special treatment!

Proud Dad! He carried both babies from the C-Section Room to the Nursery.

Healthy Cries! Callie Grace is on the bottom, Anderson David is on the top.

When they took me to recovery they stopped by the nursery and they brought the twins out to me! This is the very 1st picture of the 4 of us!
