Mardi Gras

Today we went to the kids first Mardi Gras Parade, The Highland Parade, it's geared for kids and families. I have a friend who lives at the beginning of the parade route so we hung out there-perfect!  The kids got tons of beads!  Half way through we had to convince the kids to take of their beads and start over because they were getting so heavy!  Callie could hardly stand up!  And Anderson's favorite had 3 rubber chickens hanging from it!  Along with the beads they got tons of stuffed animals (snakes, ducks, bears, dinosaurs...), candy, puzzles, footballs, blow-up bats, frisbees, cups and one float threw ready to eat wrapped hot dogs!  (See the last 2 pictures!)  We had heard rumors of this hot dog float and were so pumped to actually witness it!  We had so much fun, we're already looking forward to next year!
