Yesterday we went to Target to pack shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. The program sends the shoe boxes (they've done over a million) around the world to underprivileged children. Somehow they make sure that each child only receives one shoebox during his/her lifetime. They want to reach all children. The MOPS group that I'm part of packs boxes every year as a table. They also encourage us to pack boxes with our families. We packed boxes last year but it was so much more meaningful this year. We talked to the kids about what they were doing and that they were buying presents for kids who might not have otherwise. It was so awesome to watch the kids and their excitement at picking the objects to fill their box. They totally picked the best! Which is awesome because the kids that receive these boxes totally deserve the best! All that's left to do is pray for the children receiving our boxes before we send them out next week. This year we are able to track where our boxes are sent! So sometime in December we will receive an email telling us where our boxes were delivered. Can't wait to check the locations out on a map with the kids!
