Downtown in 24 Hours

Monday afternoon David and I left the kids with Granny and PopPop and headed downtown Charleston for the night.  We checked in at the historic Meeting Street Inn (to a teal room!!) before doing some shopping on King Street where I found a super cute maxi dress.  We then went back to the hotel for their wine and cheese hour-awesome!  Next up was a horse drawn carriage ride through downtown!  So beautiful!  We then cleaned up and headed to Husk for dinner where we met Benjamin and Maribeth!  We hung out at the bar until our table on the porch was ready.  We had great service, great company and quite possibly the best food I have ever eaten!  We walked home and slept great in our king sized bed!  Tuesday morning we walked around and ate lunch at Fleet Landing-another great meal!  Then it was time to head back to Summerville to see the kiddos and pack up our things to leave for MN the next morning.  It was so wonderful to be downtown acting like tourists!  Thanks for such awesome planning David!
