Truckee Donner

We spent this last weekend at a house in Tahoe Donner, right outside of Truckee.  Our friend's mom and husband own the place so we were able to stay for only the cleaning fee!  The house was huge and we all loved it!  We spent all our time just loving on each other!  Friday we visited Donner Lake private beach.  How awesome is it to play in the water with snow capped mountains in the background?!  For dinner we went to Fifty Fifty Brewing Company.  After taking it easy Saturday morning we headed over Donner Memorial State Park.  We did the museum and a short hike but spent most of our time lake side having a picnic, playing in the water and just enjoying it all!  After taking a little break at home we headed to Historic Downtown Truckee to do a little shopping.  All the kids were able to pick out a new toy-a pack of horses, a gas station car set and a mermaid.  Can you guess who's is who's?  That night we had dinner back at the house and took some time playing in the ridiculously large bathtub!  Sunday morning we took it easy again before packing up and heading out on a hike!  The hike was short but so beautiful and we even found snow.  We had a nice little picnic lunch and then headed home!  The ride home was pretty much free which is a big deal around here!  It was such a great weekend and I'm so happy we were able to just hang out and love on each before the chaos of the next move begins in a few weeks.
