Alcatraz and San Fransisco

Friday we headed into San Fransisco to visit Alcatraz!  None of us had ever been there and it's on our check off list for the city.  It was my first time ever being in prison or jail.  It was neat to see but as I look back at our pictures a little creepy.  I mean here we are total tourists-standing in cells, sitting on beds, walking the halls, viewing the shower hall, all in a place that once used to house horrible criminals!  I mean think of the things that went on in there, the thoughts that were thought-ugh.  Anyways, Liam and I only made it half way through the tour before he lost interest.  So we headed outside and sat on a bench.  I was feeling frustrated and Liam was feeling antsy and that's when the retired magical appeared!  He talked to Liam and I and then asked if he could do a trick so he turned a strand of pearls into a puppy!  He told Liam he could keep it but only if he took a nice picture with his mom (I was trying to convince Liam to get up off the bench and get a picture with San Fransisco in the back ground) so enter the cute pictures below!  After leaving the island we grabbed lunch at Pier 39 at Wipeout.  From there we spent a few minutes playing on a playground.  Then we tried to head to the Cable Car Museum but there were no parking spots to be found so we headed onto Ghirardelli  Square for ice cream and then down to the beach to hangout a bit before making our dinner reservation at Caffe Sport in North Beach (don't ask about the parking ramp-what a nightmare for my big car!).  It was a successful day and we checked a few more things off the San Fransisco bucket list!
