Grandma and Grandpa arrived in Livermore Friday night so of course we though Saturday morning would be the perfect time to take off for 2 days in Monterey! We took Hwy 1 down from Santa Cruz which wasn't as scenic as I thought it was going to be. Once we arrived in Monterey we headed to the wharf for lunch. After trying clam chowder all the way down we ate at the Big Fish Grill at the end of the wharf. It was ok. Before leaving we the wharf we stopped for a sweet treat at a candy shop. From there it was on to 17 mile drive. The drive was beautiful but it would have been better if the sun was out! But that didn't stop the kids from playing and exploring! We even made it to the Dennis the Menace Park! That night we at dinner at the Cannery at the Fish Hopper. Sunday morning after breakfast we headed straight for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We spent about 5 hours here looking at everything and eating at the restaurant. Just like yesterday we had a sweet treat before heading home.
